IELTS Listening skill

Remember that the listening part of the IELTS test is the same for both Academic and General Training Module candidates. There are 4 sections, and each is treated separately and played only once. The moment you hear the words "Section 1", "Section 2" etc.,you should:

1.be prepared and ready to listen for the instructions that are given.

2.listen for details about the information contained in the coming passage, e. g. who? what? where? when? why?

First, check where the questions are located in the section to be heard. In the short time j given to you before the listening passage begins, which is usually ten, twenty or thirty seconds at t most, you should do your best to predict what you will hear.

When the conversation, interview or lecture begins, the first item to hear is the example, j Sometimes, the example is heard first and then once again when the passage is played in full; in I other BELTS Listening Tests it is heard only once.
